Join The Friends of TWSBA
The Teaching with Small Boats Alliance (TWSBA) is launching a new community of supporters: The Friends of TWSBA, a multi-year initiative to bring together our closest allies. This circle of friends will underpin the core foundation of our work; Fellowships and training for instructors, as well as helping us sustain and expand systemic partnerships that are making a real difference in the lives of young people learning at each of our member organizations.
Your committed support will also help us maintain momentum for our National Boatbuilding Certification program, our Fellowship program, Youth Gatherings across the country in 2026, the launch of our Maritime Trades Internship initiative, and our National Conference which will take place next October at the Center for Wooden Boats, in Seattle, WA.
We’ve created three giving tiers, each with a three-year commitment:
$1,000/year
$1,000 Tier — You receive a framed print emblematic of teaching with small boats, painted and signed by Emmy awarded artist and animator, Bob Grove.
$2,500/year
$2,500 Tier — You receive a small a half-hull model, on a plaque, hand-carved by Joe Youcha, our co-founder and Board President.
$5,000/year
$5,000 Tier — You receive a piece of marquetry depicting Joel White’s Haven 12 ½, a boat used by many TWSBA organizations to teach on the water skills. This is also handmade by Joe.
